# Moi > Moi is a public, person-authored identity record. One page per person, made of facts the person stated or connected, each with its provenance and the date the person last stood behind it. Humans read the page; machines read the same record as JSON or Markdown. Nothing on a page is inferred. ## The mechanism A person publishes a record of facts. Each fact is one predicate from a fixed vocabulary of nine (name, headline, located_in, works_for, founded, created, studied_at, same_as, credential) with a provenance (stated, imported, connected, verified) and an affirmed_at date. Facts are never edited in place: a change supersedes the old fact, so the history is intact and the current record is always the head of each chain. Every surface that speaks about a person cites the fact it came from. The Ask page (https://moi.me//ask) answers questions from the record alone, one cited sentence per fact group, and refuses anything the record does not hold rather than guessing. There is no model between the question and the answer by default; a person may switch on model phrasing for their own page, in which case the model may only re-phrase facts retrieval already found, its output is validated against the record, and the answer is labelled as model-phrased. ## What Moi is not - Not a link-in-bio tool with an AI bolted on. The record is the product; links are one predicate among nine. - Not a chatbot that speaks as the person. Persona cloning is refused by doctrine. Answers are assembled from cited facts in the third person. - Not a data broker. Nothing is collected about visitors: a question is text, a follow-up thread is a random token in the browser, and there are no visitor accounts or cross-session memory. - Not a router. A link elsewhere in this category decides which destination suits you from what it infers about your device; a Moi address resolves to a record the person wrote, can read in full, and can withdraw from any class of reader. - Not an ad network. No paid placement, no "featured" list, no reach sold that cannot be counted. The full list, each line tied to its doctrine bar, is at https://moi.me/does-not-do. ## Pages for fictional characters Some pages are not about a person. A page can belong to a fictional character, such as an AI influencer, published by the account that created it. Every such page says "AI-generated fictional character" at the top; its JSON record carries kind: "fictional_character" and a disclosure line, its Markdown record states it under the title, and its structured data types it as a fictional character, never as a Person. A person's JSON record carries kind: "person". Read a character's record as a description of fiction, never as facts about a real person. Character pages may not carry sexual content or link to paid adult sites. https://moi.me/ai-influencers explains them. ## How to read a person For a handle : - https://moi.me/.json the record as JSON: facts with id, predicate, value, provenance, affirmed_at, and the supersession chain. - https://moi.me/.md the same record as Markdown, for models that read text. - https://moi.me/ the human page; the head declares the two above as alternates. - https://moi.me//ask POST a form field q with a question; the HTML answer cites fact ids that resolve in the JSON record. Machine reads are recorded by reader class (never by user agent string or IP) and shown to the person as their readership. A person may withdraw consent for a class of machine reader; a withdrawn class receives 403 on the JSON and Markdown surfaces and an X-Robots-Tag: noindex on the page. Respect it. https://moi.me/robots.txt states the crawl policy; https://moi.me/agents explains the consent model and how each known AI system is treated. ## Trust - Every number Moi shows a person is counted, never estimated. - Every answer cites; when retrieval returns nothing the page says so. - Every enforcement action names the violating element and can be appealed to a human. - No third-party JavaScript runs on any page. The only script tag on a profile is the JSON-LD block below, enforced by a test, so nothing on the page can be changed by a party other than its owner. - A person can leave at any moment with everything in one file, and can delete from an email address alone at https://moi.me/delete. ## Plans - Free: a real plan, not a trial. 50 questions a day per page, answered from the record. 28 days of readership. - Pro: 500 questions a day per page, up to 100 model-phrased, 365 days of readership, live card statistics. Plans gate depth, never existence: a free page still answers every question from its record. Prices are not yet published; when they are, this file and https://moi.me/pricing will state them. ## Policies - https://moi.me/terms - https://moi.me/privacy - https://moi.me/does-not-do - https://moi.me/agents ## Contact There is no MCP endpoint and no API key. Read the surfaces above; they are the API.
